Full home moves out of walk-ups between Second and York, doorman towers on First Avenue and family apartments on East End Avenue. We protect stairwells and lobbies, wrap every piece of furniture and set up the new place room by room.
-
Small offices, medical practices and shops along 86th Street and the avenues. We pack files and equipment, label every box and schedule around building rules and your patients or customers.
-
Prefer one price up front? Ask for a flat fee quote based on your inventory, the floors at both ends and the distance, so the number stays the same on move day.
-
Family apartments near the river often hold pianos, antiques and art passed down over years. We crate valuable pieces and pad them for elevators and stairwells alike.
-
Renovating or waiting on a new lease? We pick up from your Yorkville apartment, store your things at our Red Hook facility in Brooklyn and deliver them when you are ready.
-
Leaving Yorkville for another state? Our long-distance movers pack, load and drive your shipment to your new home, with storage in between if your dates do not line up.
-
Studios, roommate shares and family apartments, from fifth-floor walk-ups to full-service towers. We carry everything up and down the stairs, book the service elevator where there is one and send the COI.

What Yorkville Movers Run Into
Yorkville moves come down to stairs, building rules and the route out of the neighborhood. Here is what our movers plan for before move day.
Walk-Ups East of Second Avenue
The side streets between Second Avenue and York Avenue are full of four and five-story walk-ups, many of them shares and first apartments. Tell us your floor and measure big pieces like sofas and bed frames, so we know before move day if anything has to come apart.
No Trucks on the FDR Drive
The FDR Drive runs right along the edge of Yorkville, but commercial trucks are banned from it. We route the truck along First, Second and York Avenues instead and time departures around rush hour, which matters most on moves downtown or across a bridge. The same avenue routing applies if you are moving in East Harlem, just a few blocks north of 96th Street.
Doorman Towers and Co-ops
The bigger buildings on First, York and East End Avenue usually want a certificate of insurance and a booked service elevator, and some limit moves to weekdays. Ask your managing agent for the rules early, and we will send the COI and confirm the time. West of Third Avenue, our Upper East Side crew works with the same co-op boards and service elevator rules.
Outside the Toll Zone
Yorkville is well above 60th Street, so a move that stays uptown or heads to the Bronx or Queens does not enter the Congestion Relief Zone. If you are moving to a building below 60th Street, ask about the toll when you get your quote.
Yorkville Areas We Move
Yorkville changes block by block from Third Avenue to the river, and each part changes how the move runs.
East End Avenue and Carl Schurz Park
Quiet pre-war co-ops and family apartments facing the park and Gracie Mansion. Buildings here tend to have strict move hours and careful lobby rules, so book the elevator first.
Second Avenue to York Avenue
Walk-ups and mid-size rentals popular with young renters, close to the Second Avenue subway at 86th Street. Stairs set the pace, and many leases turn over at month end. Many renters here come up from Midtown, and our movers in Murray Hill can pack the old place the same week.
86th Street to 96th Street
Big doorman towers, shops along 86th Street and newer rentals near the 96th Street station. Loading docks help, but busy sidewalks make early starts easier. Heading to more space at the top of Manhattan? Our Inwood movers handle the larger pre-war apartments up there too.
