Movers in NoHo, Manhattan
-
Moves inside NoHo or to any other borough, usually finished in a single day. Local moving starts from $99 an hour, and the final price is confirmed in a free written quote. We plan the load around your freight elevator and the curb on your block.
-
Full home moves out of loft buildings, condo conversions and newer buildings on Bond Street and Lafayette Street. We protect freight elevators and hallways, wrap every piece of furniture and set up the new place room by room.
-
Studios, design offices, showrooms and shops fill the loft floors here. We pack equipment, samples and files, label every box and move you on evenings or weekends when the building asks for it.
-
Prefer one price up front? Ask for a flat fee quote based on your inventory, the floors at both ends and the distance, so the number stays the same on move day.
-
Lofts often hold large artwork, sculpture and design furniture. Our fine art movers build custom crates and handle oversized pieces with extra care in freight elevators.
-
Between leases or renovating a loft? We pick up from your NoHo apartment, store your things at our Red Hook facility in Brooklyn and deliver them when you are ready.
-
Leaving NoHo for another state? Our long-distance movers pack, load and drive your shipment to your new home, with storage in between if your dates do not line up.
-
Lofts, one-bedrooms and full-floor homes, with freight elevators in some buildings and stairs in others. We book the elevator, send the COI and carry everything up or down the stairs when there is no lift.

What NoHo Movers Run Into
NoHo is a small neighborhood of old loft buildings, and moves here are shaped by freight elevators and narrow streets. Here is what our movers plan for before move day.
Cast-Iron Loft Buildings
Many NoHo homes are in 19th-century loft buildings, some with older freight elevators that hold less than you would expect. Tell us the elevator size and measure your largest pieces, so we know before move day what fits in one trip. Our movers in Little Italy plan for the same older buildings and small elevators a few blocks south.
Condo Conversions and Board Rules
Converted lofts and newer condos on Bond Street and Lafayette Street usually want a certificate of insurance and a booked freight elevator. Ask your managing agent for the move policy early, and we will send the COI and confirm the time.
Narrow Blocks and Tight Curbs
Bond Street and Great Jones Street are short, narrow blocks with little room for a truck, and some have rough or cobbled paving. We plan the closest legal spot ahead of time and bring dollies and padding for the carry. South of Houston Street, our Nolita crew works the same narrow blocks and short curbs.
Inside the Congestion Relief Zone
All of NoHo sits inside the zone that starts at 60th Street, so a moving truck pays a toll to enter it. Ask about it when you get your quote, so the total you see covers the whole day.
NoHo Areas We Move
NoHo only covers a few blocks, but each street has its own buildings and its own move day plan.
Bond Street and Great Jones Street
Converted lofts and newer condo buildings on short, narrow blocks between Broadway and the Bowery. Book the freight elevator first and let us plan the curb.
Lafayette Street and Astor Place
Loft buildings, offices and the historic row houses of Colonnade Row, close to the Astor Place station. Heavy foot traffic means early starts work best. Across Astor Place, the walk-ups get steeper, so tell us your floor if you are moving in the East Village.
Bleecker Street and the Bowery
Older loft buildings and mixed-use blocks along the southern and eastern edge, near the Bleecker Street station. Some buildings have stairs only, so tell us your floor up front. Trading a loft for a doorman building uptown? Our Gramercy movers handle the co-op paperwork at that end.
